Welcome to Risborough Rangers Junior Football Club

Risborough Rangers JFC was started in 1971 and since then thousands of children have enjoyed their time with us. Today, we are one of the largest clubs in the area with over 350 boys and girls playing regularly between 5 and 16 years of age. The club is run on a totally voluntary basis with our main funding coming from the annual registration fees paid by club members. We are also very grateful for the continued support we receive from parents and local businesses, who sponsor individual teams.

We are proud to have FA Charter Status and fully support the FA Respect campaign to encourage good behaviour and sportsmanship. Our aim is to ensure that all our children have fun and enjoy themselves, whatever their age or abilities.

Today, we have more FA level 1 and level 2 coaches than ever before and are committed to continually improving the level of coaching across all the age groups, making sure we strike the right balance between having fun and improving technical skills.

Depending on the age group, our teams play in two different league structures:

The U7 to U10 age groups are part of the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference www.bucksfootball.co.uk

The U11 to U16 age groups play in the Booker Junior Football League www.football-results.org

In 2010, we introduced a separate girls group, which has been a tremendous success. This season we are intending on offering football for girls under the age of 10 right through to 16 (school years 3-11).

In 2011, we set up the first ever u6 group which has been another great success, with the children really enjoying their football, thanks to the dedication of the coaching team.

We are extremely proud to be one of the very few clubs within the area to offer Pan-Disability football. We have a dedicated manager who is FA L1 qualified coach and currently has 8 players who attend training on Saturdays. The aim of this venture is to provide all Pan-Disability footballers the opportunity to experience the great game of football and meet new friends. There is a specific league for players called the Berks, Oxon and Berks inclusion League (BOBI League) which we joined last season. Patron to this age group is sports presenter Mike Bushell.

Every May, we hold our annual tournament fundraiser, which this year turned out to be one of the best ever with over 200 teams joining us for a great weekend.

Our new season starts on Saturday Sept 2nd 2017 and this year we will have 18 different groups in the club including:

We are also going to continue our support for the new “Minis” group which was set up in March 2012 for children in Reception year, who are not yet old enough to register for the club officially.

Risborough Rangers JFC is going from strength to strength, thanks to the time, effort and real dedication of the club officials, managers, coaches and parent volunteers. We are proud of our club and what we have achieved.
